Discussions

A 1-hour, remote discussion with practitioners who serve populations with bipolar disorder.

Discussion Overview

The purpose of this 1-hour session is to share insights and learn through discussion with practitioners serving patients with bipolar disorder.

The session follows a structured, four-part format:

  1. Personal Experience (15 Minutes): The discussion begins with a powerful segment focused on lived experience. A person successfully managing bipolar disorder shares their personal journey, challenges, turning points, and effective self-management strategies. This provides practitioners with an authentic, first-hand perspective on the illness and the process of seeking stability.

  2. General Frameworks (10 Minutes): This section shifts to a conceptual overview, focusing on general frameworks for effective management. This includes discussing conceptual models designed to simplify the complexities of managing bipolar disorder.

  3. Specific Applications (10 Minutes): Building on the general frameworks, this segment explores specific, practical applications. The focus is on translating theory into practice through concrete examples, including examples around creating a holistic, sustainable lifestyle of wellbeing.

  4. Group Discussion (25 Minutes): The session concludes with an open group discussion. Practitioners are encouraged to ask questions, share their own clinical challenges, and discuss materials from the presentation. This fosters a collaborative environment for shared learning and problem-solving.

Following the conclusion of the discussion, participants will receive access to our online portal. This portal contains information and real-world examples to augment the discussion. We will also reach out to attendees shortly to gather feedback on the session and resources.
