BP Discussions
An experience for practitioners serving populations with bipolar disorder.
Project Overview
Our primary goal is to help people with bipolar disorder take early and effective actions in managing their illness. We strive to contribute to efforts that allow individuals to achieve a balanced life much sooner, thus avoiding many of the significant and challenging impacts that often occur when stability is reached later.
This is especially critical given that, on average, individuals face up to ten years coping with symptoms before receiving an accurate diagnosis and often endure a prolonged journey to find effective treatment and a sustainable lifestyle of well-being once diagnosed. These factors are often linked to a more adverse and complex course of illness, which can be prevented.
Our Focus
We are currently focused on connecting with the practitioner community. Our aim is to offer an additional perspective, alongside complementary materials, to support their effective service of populations living with bipolar disorder.
Our efforts include facilitating 1-hour discussions where practitioners can engage directly with someone living with bipolar disorder, alongside granting them access to a digital portal containing more in-depth information and examples.
We hope this project will provide useful information to practitioners as they work to help clients manage bipolar disorder. In the future, we hope to expand our reach to other projects with broader impact.
